Meet The Founder

Ms Sweta Pachisia Founder, Aesthetiic India

After spending 20 years in the fashion industry, working with fabrics, design, and trends, I felt a growing pull towards something deeper — something rooted in our heritage. That’s when Aesthetiic India was born.

I started this journey with a simple but powerful intention: to revive the dying arts of India and give them the space they deserve in the modern world. Today, I’m proud to be working with artisans who practice the centuries-old art of silver tarakashi, and to have introduced a unique ivory-lookalike craft on synthetic stone — a sustainable take on a lost legacy.

Every piece we create carries history, culture, and craftsmanship — and through Aesthetiic India, my dream is to take these traditional arts beyond borders, and place Indian heritage proudly on the world map.

This isn’t just a business. It’s a movement of preservation, pride, and purpose.

The Art & Artisans: Story of Tarakasi or Silver Filigree

The craftsmen at Aesthetiic India belong to generations of traditional artisans who preserve the art of Tarakasi from Odisha. Cuttack, the 'Silver City of India', adorns this authentic art from where the jewellery is directly shipped to your homes ensuring the originality and genuineness of each piece that is handcrafted with painstaking eye for detail. The process of creating even the simplest of filigree products is an intricate one, involving a group of four to five people and takes upto 27 hours.

The filigree craftsmen use basic hand tools to create elaborate motifs in silver filigree ornaments and products.

The artform of Tarakasi has stood the test of time and is still revered by jewellery lovers and fashion enthusiasts across the globe. However, this 500 years old Indian art is now lacking awareness and demand. This has resulted in hard times for the craftsmen. Aesthetiic India is in a constant pursuit to make life better for the craftsmen of Odisha and give the age old art form a new lease of life. With this quest, Aesthetiic India is developing and designing a range of modern day accessories and utility products that are timeless pieces to treasure. These products are marketed to create awareness and demand for the art - thereby helping the talented craftsmen for a better future.
